Why?

Why am I running for Congress when I have little chance of winning?

There are several reasons.

  1. I believe the country is facing a crisis.  We desperately need leadership committed to solving the crisis, not blaming the problem on the other party.  If I win, that's what I will do, but even if I lose, I believe my campaign will persuade Congressman Frank to step up and be a leader.
  2. With Congressional approval ratings at an all time low, I am afraid that Congressman Frank could lose to a Republican challenger in the general election just due to association with the Congressional establishment.  I am an outsider and I am also an outsider who believes in keeping jobs in the United States, not shipping them overseas -- People wont find that in the Republican party.
  3. I don't believe politicians should run unopposed all the time.
  4. Somebody has to do it and I have always been the kind of person to jump into a void.

I can't do this by myself.

Why should you help?  Here are a few reasons:

And if that's not enough, you can gloat over the fact that if I win, I will have to buy a couple of new suits...

Seriously, even by losing we make a difference.

The most important things you can do right now are

  1. Help with fund raising and pass the word to your friends.
  2. Volunteer to rewrite this web site using something like Drupal.
